Re-entry toolkit graphic designer

The Final 5 Campaign seeks a graphic designer to create the design and layout for a re-entry toolkit for incarcerated youth when they are released. The designer will be responsible for translating messaging and design aesthetic notes from the campaign toolkit team into a creative design layout that incorporates provided photos and illustrations.

BACKGROUND

The Final 5 Campaign is led by directly impacted youth & abolitionists who are committed to the closure of the five Illinois youth prisons. In addition to our organizing work, we also offer support and resources to currently and formerly incarcerated youth. Part of this work is the development of a re-entry toolkit to support youth returning home from the Illinois youth prisons and other detention centers. We hosted focus groups with youth who were recently released from the youth prisons to help identify what support youth need when returning home, and we also have a team of directly impacted youth working on this toolkit. We plan to distribute the toolkit to youth getting out of incarceration across Illinois to help them with everything we heard that was a challenge. Our hope is that the toolkit will offer ways to navigate anything that may be a challenge for recently released youth.
